AmiomGaming.Net – Emmanuel Smith-Joynes & Alexander Thompson - It’s important here that we all take note of the great things the youth of our community are doing ….

Emmanuel and Alexander both students at BHS felt that gamers in Bermuda were isolated and there was a missing social spirit as can be found in other parts of the world. As such they created a social network of gamers through their website and set up competitions amongst its members to foster that social spirit and interaction. This two-member team then developed their website further and now they also offer services to the wider Bermuda community including computer repairs and building bespoke websites. FURTHER in the last year they volunteered to hold a workshop for BHS teachers on how to make and edit videos with Windows Movie Maker software. They carried out a highly professional session and teachers went away feeling they could incorporate that skill element into their teaching.

In addition these students produced a Machinima commercial that placed second in last year's Tech Week competition on Cyber-Bullying.  These are just two of the many youth for whom we need to celebrate and applaud for their effort, their work their results and their contribution to the community!
