TechWeek Community Events are free and open to the public and are intended to provid community training on topics of interest or exposure to the newest technological advancements. They begin with the launch of TECHWEEK at 11:00 am on October 7th at the TECHSHOWCASE in the Hamilton Princess. This technology tradeshow is being conducted by the Technology Devision of the Chamber of Commerce. The division, which champions innovation in technology and stimulates interest in and the adoption of advancing technologies such as Cloud computing and mobile communications service, will use the Techshowcase as a unique opportunity to learn about emerging trends, and highlight technology on the cutting edge. Other Community Events being held on Wednesday, October 12 include a workshop on E-Inclusion & On-Line Banking from 12:00 to 2:00pm at Cathedral Hall, Church St, Hamilton. You are invited to this workshop being coordinated by the National Office for Seniors and the Physically Challenged in association with Butterfield Bank. Then at 3:30 that day at Cathedral Hall the Bermuda Small Business Development Corporation and W&W Solutions will be conducting an On-Line Business WorkShop where you will learn about online payment processing and billing for small business and master the use of social media services to promote yourself and your business In the evening Bermuda Chamber of Commerce will host Wired Wednesday Roundtable on Cloud Computing in Bermuda where local experts will discuss with you the use of cloud for consumers and business and the managed services to support it. It’s TECHART on Friday beginning with an open house at AAC Saatchi & Saatchi, 29 Front Street, from 3:00 to 4:30 followed by the BSoA’s TechArt Exhibition from 5:00 to 7:00pm in City Hall, Hamilton.
